World History Activities: A TpT Bundle

Google Classroom™ is an opportunity to try new activities in world history. Challenge your students with three unique world history activities, some with writing prompts.

Top 25 Inventions and Discoveries: This is a great activity to get students to compare and contrast very simple concepts in world history as well as review the progression of technological advances. Whether you have students complete this lesson independently or you use it via Google Meet™ it forces students to make historical decisions.

I love the debate aspect of this resource too which is why if you have the right set of virtual students you should definitely use this resource on Google Meet™ and have a student-led debate. There are also summary questions that redirect students to explain their decision-making processes.

Build-a-cartouche: Everyone loves writing their name with Egyptian hieroglyphics. Give your students a creative moment and have them write their name. If you have time, have them write a sentence or two!

Couples Matching Game: Of course you can use this on Valentine’s Day for a fun themed lesson but this lesson is also a great opportunity to work on associations in history. Yes, knowing Anne Boleyn is Henry VIII’s second wife is important but students should be able to tell you about how this marriage came to be, the ramifications of it, and of course, the long-term effects.

Students will match the couples first then they have 12 writing prompts to answer for each couple. This lesson can absolutely be completed in one day but would be best as a two day lesson. Again, if you can have a Google Meet™ discussion then do it. Nothing beats a good historical discussion!

All of these resources are available in one bundle too.
